Enhancing Digital Competences for Modern Adult Education
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, three representatives of the Association of European Development successfully participated in the international training course “Digital Tools and Online Platforms for Adult Education” held in Çanakkale, Türkiye.
The training aimed to strengthen the digital competences of adult educators and trainers by providing practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the use of online teaching platforms, digital communication tools, interactive learning environments, and innovative approaches for engaging adult learners in virtual settings.
During the intensive programme, participants explored modern digital solutions that support high-quality adult education and lifelong learning. The course combined theoretical input, practical exercises, collaborative activities, and peer learning opportunities with professionals from different European countries.
Results Achieved
As a result of the mobility:
✔ Three adult education professionals successfully completed the training programme.
✔ Participants improved their digital competence and confidence in online teaching environments.
✔ New skills were acquired for designing, delivering and evaluating online learning activities.
✔ Innovative digital tools and platforms were tested and adapted for future educational activities.
✔ New international partnerships and professional contacts were established.
✔ Good practices in digital adult education were exchanged with participants from different European countries.
✔ New educational resources and online learning materials were developed for future use.
Impact on the Organisation
The knowledge and skills acquired during the training will contribute to:
- Improving the quality of adult education activities;
• Expanding opportunities for blended and online learning;
• Increasing learner engagement through interactive methodologies;
• Supporting digital transformation within the organisation;
• Strengthening the capacity of trainers to work effectively in digital environments.
The mobility represents an important step towards building a more innovative, accessible and technology-enhanced adult education system that responds to the needs of modern learners and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all.
