MONITORING PROGRESS AND MOTIVATING ADULT LEARNERS

Strengthening Adult Educators’ Capacity to Support Learner Success, Motivation and Retention
As part of the Erasmus+ Programme, three adult education professionals from the Association of European Development (AED) participated in the international training course “Monitoring Progress and Motivating Adult Learners.”
The training focused on developing practical strategies for monitoring learner progress, providing effective feedback and maintaining motivation throughout the learning journey. Participants explored learner-centred approaches that support adult learners in achieving their educational and personal goals while increasing participation, confidence and long-term engagement in learning.
The programme combined theoretical knowledge, practical workshops, collaborative activities, peer learning and reflective exercises, enabling participants to acquire innovative methods and tools for assessment, progress tracking and learner motivation.

Results Achieved
As a result of the mobility:
✔ Three adult education professionals successfully completed the training programme.
✔ Participants improved their competences in monitoring learner progress and assessing learning outcomes.
✔ New tools and methods for learner motivation, engagement and retention were acquired.
✔ Practical skills were developed in creating Individual Learning Plans and personalized support strategies.
✔ Participants strengthened their ability to provide constructive, learner-centred feedback.
✔ Innovative approaches for peer assessment and collaborative progress monitoring were tested and adapted.
✔ Digital tools for assessment, motivation and learner tracking were introduced into future educational practice.
✔ International exchange of experience and good practices enriched participants’ professional knowledge and teaching approaches.
