Successful Erasmus+ Mobility in Çanakkale, Türkiye

As part of the Erasmus+ Adult Education programme, representatives of the Association of Psychologists in Bulgaria successfully participated in the international training course Inclusive Methods for Educating Vulnerable Adult Groups held in Çanakkale, Türkiye.

The mobility brought together adult education professionals from different European countries to exchange experience, good practices and innovative approaches for working with adults facing social, economic, cultural and educational barriers.

What We Learned

During the training, participants explored key topics related to inclusive adult education, including:

Understanding vulnerability and its impact on adult learners;

Identifying barriers to participation and learning;

Adult learning theories and motivational strategies;

Cultural sensitivity and intercultural communication;

Empathy and inclusive classroom practices;

Personalized and differentiated learning approaches;

Universal Design for Learning (UDL);

Inclusive lesson planning and curriculum adaptation;

Monitoring learner progress and evaluating impact;

Reflective practice and continuous professional development.

The programme combined theoretical sessions, practical workshops, role-playing activities, case studies, collaborative projects and peer-learning opportunities.

Main Results and Achievements

Through the mobility, participants strengthened their professional competences  and acquired practical tools that can be  directly applied in their daily work with adult learners.

Key results include:

✔ Improved understanding of the needs of vulnerable adult groups;

✔ Enhanced skills for designing inclusive and learner-centred educational activities;

✔ Increased capacity to adapt teaching methods for diverse learner profiles;

✔ Development of inclusive lesson plans and assessment tools;

✔ Greater awareness of cultural diversity, equity and non-discrimination principles;

✔ Strengthened international cooperation and networking with adult education professionals from other European countries.

Impact on Our Organisation

The knowledge and experience gained during the mobility will contribute to improving the quality of educational and training services provided by the Association of Psychologists in Bulgaria.

The newly acquired methods will be integrated into future training programmes, workshops and educational initiatives, particularly those targeting adults with fewer opportunities, migrants, unemployed individuals, socially disadvantaged groups and other vulnerable learners.

The mobility also reinforced the organisation’s commitment to promoting inclusive education, equal opportunities and lifelong learning for all.

Erasmus+ Added Value

Beyond the professional benefits, the mobility provided a valuable opportunity for intercultural dialogue, exchange of good practices and the creation of new international partnerships.

The experience in Çanakkale demonstrated once again that inclusive education is a powerful tool for social participation, empowerment and community development.

Together we build more inclusive, accessible and supportive learning environments for every adult learner.
