JOB SHADOWING AT CPIA 5 MILANO

Learning from European Good Practices in Adult Education and Social Inclusion
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, sixteen adult education professionals from the Association of European Development (AED) participated in an eight-day Job Shadowing mobility hosted by CPIA 5 Milano, Italy. The mobility provided participants with a valuable opportunity to observe innovative educational practices, exchange professional experience, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of adult education.
The programme focused on lifelong learning, social inclusion, employability, digital transformation, and support for adults from vulnerable groups, including migrants, low-skilled adults and learners facing social and economic barriers.


Results Achieved
As a result of the mobility:
✔ Sixteen adult educators successfully completed the Job Shadowing programme.
✔ Participants improved their competences in inclusive adult education methodologies and learner-centred approaches.
✔ New strategies for working with vulnerable adults, migrants and socially disadvantaged groups were acquired.
✔ Knowledge of European lifelong learning policies and practices was strengthened.
✔ Participants enhanced their digital competences and gained practical experience with online learning platforms and educational technologies.
✔ New methods for competence assessment and validation were explored and adapted for future educational activities.
✔ Strong professional links were established with CPIA 5 Milano and other European adult education stakeholders.
✔ New opportunities for future Erasmus+ cooperation and international project development were identified.
Impact on AED
The mobility significantly contributed to the achievement of the project objectives by:
- Promoting lifelong learning and social inclusion through the transfer of European good practices;
- Strengthening the professional competences of adult educators working with vulnerable learners;
- Expanding AED’s European network of educational institutions and experts;
- Enhancing the organisation’s capacity to deliver innovative, inclusive and digitally supported adult education programmes;
- Supporting the development of future Erasmus+ initiatives and international partnerships.
European Added Value
The Job Shadowing experience enabled participants to compare educational systems, exchange innovative methodologies and gain first-hand experience of successful European practices in adult education. The acquired knowledge will be transferred to future training activities, strengthening the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of educational services provided by AED.
Through this mobility, participants reinforced their commitment to promoting inclusion, lifelong learning and equal opportunities while contributing to the broader objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Education Area.
